Here in a couple of weeks drivers in Knoxville, Tennessee will be detoured on different routes. Those who work in or close to Downtown Knoxville will have their patience tested at first, but after a few weeks I would say everyone will get used to it. This of course is all due to the I-40 closure for construction.
I am happy they have decided to get the ball rolling. The downtown, two lane I-40 bridge gets pretty crammed and it’s about time that stretch of interstate caught up with the rest of Knoxville.
